I had a nightmare trying to sign him.
Gave up in the end.
My friend is playing with Liverpool and ended up paying 6m for him. I have no idea how good he turned out to be, I'll ask him later

I thought Sao Paulo were being unreasonable though... I offered 4m straight up, and they came back with a stupid offer of 4.5, with 2 in addons plus sell on fee.... so I'd probably be inclined to accept what they've asked...

Dont offer a high value straight up. Offer what he's worth in the first go which they'll probably reject. Then offer a little more (around 2.9M + 10% sell on) and they should come back with negotiation. You can then go upto 3.4-3.5 and he should be yours. I've tried 2-3 times and been successful everytime.

Oh, before you do any of that, make sure you get a scout report and get an idea of how much you'd have to offer.
