Default Snowy pitches / abnormally small pitches

A GQ thread made me think of this - I saw a snowy pitch ages ago on my TNS game, complete with orange ball, then after reading a GQ thread about snowy pitches, lo and behold I got another at Caernarfon

Do you lot see many, as I believe they are more likely in LLM, since many big clubs have undersoil heating.

Also, any grounds with crazily small pitches? In the welsh league I always enjoy my visits to tiny Connah's Quay

I hate narrow pitches. I play with wingers (tip! :o ) and like a wide open pitch to play on...although it makes no feckin' difference, tbh.

At Carmuirs Park we played around 4 games running with the orange ball and silly tights :bigalp:

Seen that snow a couple of times.

Pitch sizes make no difference for us (except when one goals are narrower that the others).

I have been playing with Vaxhall Motors and have not seen any snowy pitches yet. I dont know if I have played in a narrow pitch.

I've played 14 seasons in Sweden and never seen a snowy pitch To be fair, most league games are played during the summer. Maybe Swedish clubs are more likely to have undersoil heating.

Felt a bit claustrophobic first time i played at a small pitch. Nice addition to 06 though, cool with the added realism of utterly crap pitches, and the graphic representation of my fatty players.
Needless to say, my wide game went ape and succumbed to the overwhelming grey force of ones.

I've seen snowy pitches with stevenage. with lincoln, we got rich, and i politley requested that we added undersoil heating.

I'm yet to play on a narrow pitch though, but it does sound fun. I'd quite like to play on a five a side pitch on it, set my keeper to shoot! (tipping) but anyone who takes my advice needs help

I asked this in another thread (yours Ian) but I don't think it was answered (or I'm too dim to have seen it)....

but has anyone ever had a game postponed due to a frozen pitch?

Not IRL at least. I'm quite sure the number of pitches with undersoil heating is less than ten. Not even the national arena has undersoil heating.

But artificial pitches are getting more and more common.
