LLM is about perseverance and playing out a realistic career in your save. There is nothing to stop you from coaching Werder Bremen to a Championship, but you would do it realistically by starting with a lowest division team and then jumping to a better team when you feel you have deserved it and the move is realistic. Not all of us stick to the same team for years. Some of our best updates have involved careers with a great deal of movement to different teams but done in a realistic way.

More important is the way you play , the realistic use of scouts, being realistic where you scout, the use of your own tactics and training regimes (if you can understand the training interface, I leave that to the Ass Man). I can't think of playing any way other than LLM.

Can't say I agree with your choice in women but I hope you learn to enjoy LLM after all the game is meant to be fun. Good luck. :thup:

One thing I struggle a bit with in LLM is the "scout where you can tour" thing. With European airfares cheaper than BR train tickets I can't see why I should not be allowed to despatch a scout to Portugal or some such place (at least once I have reached National Conference level) even if my team only tours South Wales or NI - it isn't as if there aren't a few foreign nationals IRL in the lower leagues.
My real life job involves occasional trips to Oporto, about £70 with Ryanair from Stansted, and hotels etc once you get there are cheaper than the UK too. I suppose the SWYCT rule is there to set a clear standard. Only other option I can think of is to have a scouting cost built into your transfer budget (ie one month in Portugal costs £1500 from your transfer budget)

It's a relatively reliable proxy to ensure that players aren't flooding their Conference N/S teams with foreigners unrealistically.

It's unrealistically to scout abroad while you're in a really low league not because of expenses but of other things. Why would a guy in Spain give up his life to go to East Sterling and play for 10 pounds a week and a free serving of Dairylea Rippers?

Scouting for local talent is more suited then, that's why SWYCT and SYB came into place.

Of course, whilst SWYCT is advisable in the lowest leagues, once you reach League One, its probably okay to send the scout over to Eastern Europe for a player or two even if you can't tour there.
