You can't exactly... but your hardcore support is your season ticket holders... and they are unlikely to miss a league game they've already paid for.
And Sheffield United are a well supported team, so no doubt will have filled your away end.

I understand what you're saying, and of course nearly all season ticket holders turn up on the last day of the season to thank the team etc. I also agree that Sheffield United are a well supported team, and therefore would have probably filled the away end for the cup game aswell.
But a difference of 3500 for what largely is a non-competitive game still seems very unrealistic to me.
Last season my income from Season Tickets was £38,255. Say for the sake of argument the price of a season ticket at Accrington is £100. That still only means less than 400 season tickets were sold, so why would an extra 3100 non-season ticket holders turn up for this game and not the FA Cup 3rd Round game?

Yes, attendances are flawed (and always have been). It's one of the things SI just can't quite seem to get right. Not really a big deal tho if you ask me.
