It's not just the fact you are posting but in this particular instance you are treading over old ground. This has been argued so many times by other newcomers to the forum. The LLM guidelines are set in stone and have been for a long time and as the more regular posters than me will explain the guidelines have evolved over a long period.

To address you point, yes managers will know certain players but in my opinion that only applies to top class players. How many Conference South players do you know? There is also the fact that because these players are reletively unknown, their stats and abilities can vary from save to save, so there is no advantage when it comes to prior knowledge in LLM.

to tell the truth. i couldnt care less. i'm off. all i wanted to do was talk to people about football manager. I guessed a football manager forum was the place to do this.
