I had occassion to sign a grey from my reserve squad last night. (Paper-thin squad, all 3 strikers out injured, needed another in a hurry).

This lad isn't going to pull up any trees, but he has double digits in what I consider the three most important attributes for a striker. I play him in a cup game, where we get beaten by a higher div. team, but he has a solid game, notching an assist.

So I sign him for the rest of the season on a cheapo contract. (Common-sense says he's likely not a long term investment, but he might develop on a proper contract). I take a look at his profile after he signs and suddenly all his attributes have dropped 4 points. No double digits at all. Has anyone else seen this?

I tried this when I started my game, I needed an AMR and found a grey in my reserves who had the prime quality, lots of pace. After I signed him I thought I must have made a mistke, he wasn't as quick as I had thought. Now I know why.

I don't like grey, I like black or white, right or wrong, good or bad.

For this reason it'll be a cold day in hell before I sign a grey player.

Now that is definitely greyist and discriminating against players because of their colour, even when they have turned black or white should not be accepted.

Nah. Just assume it means something in my little private universe, where nothing is ever quite what it seems to be.
