Scouts are the only way you can find players when playing LLM, just be realsitic in the number you would have at any particular club, for example, a conference side is unlikely to be able to afford more than one or two, at a push, scouts.

| totally agree, have kept it down to one scout, only have a few coaches too - because of the costs and I want to keep it realistic!
will do an update pretty soon after I have completed enough seasons so will leave it at that.

a little more advice, or at least tell me I did the right thing lol 
I bought a player for 3k, he started playing really well for me, I hadn't really scouted him much I liked his pace, he was in the reserves and I thought he could be a hit for my team.
He played like a man possessed - so Palace come in with a bid of £750k
I accept, this is only 6 months later.
I am delighted with this, I feel weird though.
did I do right or wrong?

| only you can decide what is realistic in your game and what is not. It is your game after all. If you feel that this is too unrealistic and wouldn't happen irl then pass. If you are comfortable with it...then go nuts.
