Manager wages hardly something to pay attention to?
I just got approached by my favorite team both in-game and otherwise, Brann. Was pondering the offer for some time, but found out I was gonna struggle to buy over half of my current squad anyway, so I migh as well be staying.
However, with the addition of manager wages in 06, staying puts a dent in the so-called strive for realism: Brann is offering 7 times the wages I've got at Lillestrøm. Surely that would have something to say IRL, but heck, what difference does it really make in the game? I mean, if I could, I'd negotiate the wages down, so I'd have more £ to spend on the donkeys.
Would you guys ever let manager wages tip the scales?

Nah i dont think so, obviously for the sake of realism I wouldn't accept a contract extension for much much lower wages. I don't think it makes a huge difference to be honest, although if I become manager of a big club I may let my ego get the better of me and start demanding big bucks

That's true, of course. But given the same principle - isn't it as unrealistic to turn down an offer where you would earn 7 times as much as in your current job?
There are certainly levels of commitment here, but all I'm implying is that in a career game, the amount of money you're offered might "force" you to jump ship. If you're being pedantic, that is.
