Default What a match!

Just played quite a match against Dundee Utd.

We get a good start, up 1-0 after a 3min 30-yarder. They play a long ball on 9th. Striker clean through, DC hacks him down (think a certain Norwegian Man Utd striker vs Newcastle a few years back ).You're off mate! Fair enough. They score on the following penalty. After 33 mins the ball is on down by our right-corner-flag. Their ML hacks down my DR. He's off! \o/
They score a fluke goal and are 2-1 up before halftime.

Change of tactics commences and we start to push them back, my lone 17yo striker doing his deal of the work, but opposite goalie having a field trip. Apparently they've built a wall in half-time we didn't know about.

57th min: My ML gets injured and I take him off to not risk anything as he's quite important.
61st min: MR gets injured and has to be picked off Third sub already, not liking this at all. We still manage to push them back, but without scoring.
79th min:GK gets injured and has to be taken off Subbed-on ML is best in goal with a whopping fiver. It's now my nine guys v their ten. We still manage to create a few chances and corners, but nothing come from it. Then their bugger on top fire away a 30 yards piledriver. Our 'goalie' didn't move, but it would probably go in even if we had built a wall back there too.

We outshot them 10-5 on target and lost 3-1. That ended our 7-game unbeaten run in the league. At least we went down fighting, but still

Have you guys got any crazy matches like this? Was good fun despite the loss, but it had a tremendous cost. DC banned for a game (hopefully won't get more), MR injured for 2 months, and GK injured for three weeks. League games sucks arse!

Unlucky in the game, too Can't remember the last time I palyed short-handed due to an injury (he says, virtually guaranteeing it will happen next time he fires up FM).

I haven't had quite such an incident-packed match in a while. I did have one truly horrendous match away to Celtic though - I took the lead way too early, Celtic being my bogey team to end all bogey teams got angry and netted 3 quick goals, then I had my 'keeper sent off after ~20 minutes. As is my wont, even with 5 or 7 or however many it was substitutes I hadn't bothered to "waste" a slot on the bench with a goalkeeper.

At half-time, 6-1 down, I switched from key highlights to commentary only in the hope of ending it as soon as possible. To the same end I really couldn't be bothered to re-jig my formation when my right winger got sent off and was just delighted to hear the final whistle when it came, heralding the end of a slightly bad day at the office and a 15-1 defeat
