OK then, a nasty away game against a team just above us in the table.

Half time 0-0, we are well behind in match stats but have also failed to put away the few chances that came our way. So far 4 of my players and 3 of theirs have been book. Time for a bit of encouragment for the lads.

Second half, 5 minutes in, my left WB gets sent off. Oh, bugger, a rejig of the team is necessary. Somehow from the restart, we get the ball and my lone striker scores. Yes!!!.
Now we have to survive. With more wholesale changes to the formation and the judicious use of my remaining substitutes we hold on through everything they throw at us.
10 minutes to go, they have a player sent off and we continue to hold on for a well deserved away win. Told the lads I was pleased with them and I was, bloody pleased.

Sometimes the tight games are as exiting as the high scorers. The game took about 25 minutes of real time to play and I was only on key highlights.

I couldn't agree more - for some reason, perhaps best known to myself, the few games I've opted to watch in full match mode have tended to be ones were I am away from home and basically playing defensively for a 0-0 against a much better team unless I can sneak a goal.

Not sure why I choose to watch those games in full match view instead of a home game against the no-hopers of the league. I guess it is the only way you can really see if your defensive tactics are working well because key highlights obviously just shows the goalscoring chances which are the times your defence isn't working too well!

Actually, key highlights is a bunch of crap. More often than not, I'll get highlights where the salient point appears to be a cross that was headed away by the defence or a defender shooting from well behind the halfway line - I don't care, this isn't a key highlight, not what I asked for, show me a real highlight!!

I like the highlights which show my players getting sent off for completely ridiculous tackles and for punching people. i think they should introduce batman style " kapow" noises for when that happens.

also, thanks for the card, but theres still a few weaks until christmas

Kingofthemonkeys - Please please please stop trying to be funny. It's got the stage now where I actually go red with embaressment for you.

Im sure you're a decent enough lad, so just be normal and stop with the appauling jokes. Then the other posters might begin to like you, or on the other hand, they still won't like you (I feel this is the most likely outcome), but at least you won't be making a twat of yourself.

Im sure this friendly piece of advice will only provoke another one of your comments, that to be honest, are about as funny as being hit in the testicles with a sledgehammer.

Is Normail the Norwegian equivalent of Royal Mail?

I wasnt having a go at you mate, I was just sayin cool it with the terrible jokes. It doesn't bother me a great deal to be honest, as I've only been posting here a few weeks, but I can see why it annoys the regulars. I don't want you to get torn apart by them, and dont crack any jokes because you really are commiting crimes against comedy
