Or pray he doesn't get injured. I signed a 16 year old goalkeeper who is so good he played in my 1st team pretty much straight away. He broke his ankle when he was 19 though, and ever since has been plagued with a recurrance of twisted ankles

More valid than I'd like to admit. Turns out I could field him for the first team when he turned 16. First game he played he got in an assist, was on fire and I was "wheeling away in jubilation" so to speak. 44 mins gone and wham! he's off. Out for 4 months, together with the rest of my first team.
/me thinks it's time to have a look at the training...

I have a update on Johnny McPoof. This kid is something else!
Two days before our home encounter with Celtic they put in a bid of 2.5M. I negotiated to 5M, and will reject if they get back to me.

Then the Celtic match. McPoof puts us in the lead after 3mins. I go chickenass defensive, which did not pay off. They score twice by half an hour, and are leading 2-1. Go back to normal settings in the hope of borrowing the ball a bit. McPoof scores another one. Then the other striker nets. We hit the dressing room leading 3-2. Celtic come out firing on all engines in the 2nd half, and score in the 53rd, 3-3. McPoof says enough's enough. 72nd minute 4-3. 74th min penalty. McPoof scores 5-3.

This got us our first win against Celtic, and it was even half-deserved. Johnny McPoof scored 4 goals!! :eek:

That kid has chosen the wrong sport. He should be a sprinter of some kind, or long-jumper perhaps.
