I'm sure I've said it before, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that SWYCT is being made obsolete by the game, in that touring unrealistic places is now possible.

Weren't Exeter City the ones who got football going in Brazil? It's them we should blame for Brazil being so good!

But, monty's ability to tour & scout South America does undermine LLM somewhat given the fact he's only just won League One. Unless he's lucky enough to have an eight figure bank account.

SWYCT has been obsolete at least since Cm0304, in my opinion. I've stopped paying any attention to it under FM05 and decided to restrict myself by my own grasp of realism. Granted, it's only a guideline, but it's starting to irk dangerously and misguides rather than guides.

Not Monty's fault really.

They were already good, considering they beat the mighty Grecians 2-0 that game.

This is rather insane methinks, either you're 10x a better LLM than I am or there's an easy button included with your copy of the game.

There's no easy button, Astralis.

Just keep on going. You'll learn. Don't forget, you can't taste the sweet without knowing the sour.

I've always scouted based on previous successes at my team... this seems a realistic method...

I.E. I found a very promising Swedish striker playing in conference national... he turned out to be a huge success so I sent my scout to sweden for 3 months and brought back two more swedes... then I found a random T&T player that worked out really well... scouted that region and turned up jack... seems to be fairly realistic as you see teams accumulate similar nationalities quite often...

Also, I think one major adjustment to SWYCT should be that you can always scout YOUR country of origin... even a conference south team can entice a promising Italian if the coach is Italian...

However, the true LLM spirit seems to be that your sense of realism is the key... what works for me may not seem "realistic" to others and I accept that
