Tiny Mini Update:

Quick check on progress, im top of League 1, which is great, and some of my promising strikers, had now become fully developed strikers. And after 3 rounds of the fa cup against championship sides, I am now in the fifth round! I have been drawn against Derby County. As Im writing this Im about a week away from the game so Ill write the result in this post:

We lost 1-0, we played valiantly but their Premiership quality was too much, added to the fact my players are pretty much exhausted....

Basingstoke - Season 2009/2010 - League 1

Some good signings in the pre-season made my team looking distinctly south american, and my average age was now 21! I decided that I would try and comprise a team of young and talented south americans in the near future. For this season however, i needed no extra strength, My signings were fantastic, and my younger players were beginning to look fully developed.
I finished top of league, but the most worrying thing is my stadium size, I still have not been able to force any expansion, and my training facilities are still only average!

English League 1: P46 W27 D13 L6 Final Position 1st

Fa Cup: As I mentioned in my miniUpdate I got to the 5th round incredibly, but was beaten by EPL side Derby 1-0 away.

League Cup: Went out in the 1st round on penalties against walsall.

LDV Vans Trophy South: In what is hopefully my last attempt at this crazy competition, I lost in the second round 2-1 away at Plymouth.

Sorry to bring this up again, but isn't this a bit unrealistic? I haven't managed in Poofland for a while so can't say for sure, but I doubt you can scout in the Americas while in League 1 and 2. I'm in SPL and still can't scout outside Europe.

If you can tour in South-America or you picked up the players from the British Isles I'll withdraw the statement, but it looks fishy to me.

I checked all the rules, and I took a tour of south america in the pre season, there is nothing against this (that i found) and I scouted all players, and none of them had high reputations or a good basic wage.

Ok, so i checked this out, and I can tour any south american country, so far i have toured, Brazil and Uraguay, I was wondering if this is strange for a league 1 side?

Name me one League 1 side who have toured South America.

I'll grow a beard whilst I'm waiting.

While you're at it, look up "realistic" in a Dictionary.

If you look long and hard enough at the guidelines I'm sure you can find all kinds of loopholes to justify almost anything, but that's not really what LLM is about. As soon as you get into the mindset of wanting to "beat the game" and gain an edge over AI managers you're on the wrong path. In fact, you're probably on the wrong path once you find yourself checking the guideliness frequently.

Exeter City toured Brazil in 1914.

Mind you there was (a) no League One and (b) Exeter City hadn't been accepted into the Football League at that point, so you could say they were a non-league team which toured Brazil.

They even played the national team.

That's today's pointless trivia done and dusted.

p.s. Before some pedant points it out, I know Ian said a League One team and I know that Exeter aren't a League One team ... I just thought ... you know ... post a pointless fact ...
