I started my current game unemployed and went on holiday for a wee while (a working day). Loaded up again before I went to bed, stuck it on holiday mode with job applications and woke up to find myself manager of a team of Greys (with 2 terrible exceptions) in Sweden.
With my scout being useless, my efforts were utterly futile and I jumped ship about half-way through with us having no chance whatsoever of safety.
I've had it running another working day, but it's now December 2008 and I've been unemployed a mighty long time. What do people think to adding a manager at a boss-less club and retiring my hopeless cause?
In my opinion starting unemployed and going on holiday is a waste of your playing time! Just let Frank give you a team and be merry, tis nearly Christmas after all!!

Up to you really. I would probably start a new game and pick a team, but if you enjoy starting a few seasons later, why not.
Always seemed a slightly strange idea to me. If I quit my job, put an advert in my local newsagent and go on holiday to Barbados, will I get a call in 6 months time telling me to come home and manage Kettering Town?
And I'll take one of your mince pies, black and white comic actor bloke. Can I offer you a glass of dry sherry?
