Long injuries suck!

Hope the youngster doesn't suffer from burn out!

Heh, he played 44 minutes in his first competitive match before he got injured. It was 44 good minutes though.

I'd rather have my player for the season though!

No doubt about it. Season is as good as over now, I guess I'll build him up over the winter.

SEASON 4 (2008)
Lillestrøm, Norwegian Prem

Board and Fans expectation:
Mid table

After last year's season and, maybe more importantly the pre-season friendlies, I was expecting a title race. This was somewhat reflected in the game-to-game odds, where I was the favourite in all but four matches (against Rosenborg and Brann). Squad looked good, last year's Bosman spree secured some up-and-coming backups for my first 11.

As it turned out, I really needed them. My only signing pre-season was an experienced Norwegian AMRC, who I splashed out £1.7M(!) for. He slotted into midfield, and when my Romanian AML got injured after 4 matches (and 4 MOMs, 8.80 avr) I forgot all about the stupidly high transfer fee. Until he was sidelined for 3 months.

As mentioned, first half of the season I was flying high. Summer vacation saw me top of the table, on G/D, with Rosenborg chasing behind. After the summer I had a major injury crisis. Some of the youngsters really stepped up, especially the Swedish AMR/FC who singleheader'ly won me the cup last year. New Bosman signing Young Italian MC also helped a lot.

The autumn term started off badly, I lost in both my UEFA-cup qual games, to a Ukranian team with a greyed out stiker who shared name as well as finishing skills with a certain other world class Ukranian poof. Lost a few league games, but so did Rosenborg. Managed to find the best combination of backup/youngsters (note to self: screw the ass.man), and managed a tight 1-0 victory over Rosenborg in the latter stages of the campaign to secure the title. A promising Belgian AMC, who I was on the verge of selling before the injury crisis, proved to be vital with some quality finishing and mental tackling.

Got lucky in the cup, again. Until the final, all I met was Nonleague/D2/D1-teams. Meat for my moaning players. In the final I faced Viking. The Swede and the Belgian Frog teamed up and shared the Viking feast. I've seriosly never ever won a double in a LLM game, I was really happy about that win. Cups doesn't suck arse (today)

My Veteran AMFC continued his scoring spree: got 21 goals in 22 league matches, and 8 goals in 4 cup matches. Without him I'd be relegated for xure. Also, an interesting prospect got promoted, seriosly promising MR who'll be nice to have in hand next year.

Got some job offers, from Viking (yes, before the cup final ) and Brann. Was really tempted by the Brann offer, but I want my next jump to be over the North Sea to the Pooflanders. Wonder how's that gonna work, after a certain ultra-defensive communist managed to wreck Wimbledon with the help of some literaly Fishy moneymen, I guess Norwegian managers are generally frowned upon over there

Players in: 8 @ £2M

MID-SEASON 5 (08/09)
<STRIKE>Lillestrøm</STRIKE> West Brom, English Championship

Sorry for the long last update, was extremely enthusiastic after a good season

After the cracking Lillestrøm season my rep had risen to "continental". Highly unlikely IRL, nonetheless it gave me the opportunity to travel to the pooflanders' greener grass. Applied for WBA job, and got it.

WBA is £2M in the red, currently in 22nd pos afetr 21 matches. Was touted as title chasers, hence heavily underperforming. Half of the first 11 wants to leave on bosmans. Board wants me to cut down wages with £50K/week. Job seems like a good stepping stone and a fair challenge. Played my first game, after a h/t scoreline of 3-3 we got 4 in the 2nd half and won 7-3. Let's hope it's an omen...

SEASON 5 (08/09)
West Brom, English Championship[/b]

After my initial 7-3 victory, the season continued in the same fashion. No trouble scoring, but conceding a lot of silly goals. Strung together 3 wins after 2/3 of the ses, bringing me up to 6th pos. Then lost 4, but got back my backs from injuries and gained some momentum.

Some signings helped, promising Irish DL was ok. Brought with me Swedish AMR/FC and Romanian AML/FC, they were both super-subs at some point. Brough in a total of 6 players @ 2M after unloading 2 @ 4.6M

Last game of the season saw me facing rivals Wolves. A win would secure a playoff place. Down 0-1 at h/t, and I was screaming at the players and subbed two of my key players. Promising German FC and Romanian poof came on and bagged 2 goals each, and went babbling to the press about me losing it at half time afterwards.

Lost first playoff game 0-1 against Leichester, but beat them 3-0 at home in my best game of the season. Faced Wolves - again - in the finals. A tight game saw us losing 0-1 in the end.

2 of my strikers got in the Championship select of the year. Losing both on bosmans, as well as 2 other key players, and the squad is looking shaky for next season. I'm well over budget, and can't even convince my ass.man to stick around. Contract renewals next year will be tough...

MID-SEASON 6
<STRIKE>West Brom</STRIKE> Newcastle, English Prem

As expected, this season with WBA was tough. Missed my strikers, and one of them made this point painfully clear as he bagged his first 3 goals for recently relegated West Ham against us. Board was not happy, and the club was leaking cash.

To make a sad story short, me and WBA grew "tired" of eachother (a very nice way of putting it).

Desperate magpies offered me the job up north at St. James' park. They're last in the prem, got no money to spare, got some quality players (that all wants to leave) and want me to reduce salaries with ~100K/week. Same old story. Wish me luck.
