I made such a good argument for Hitzfeld and was completely ignored

To be honest, he wasnt doing that bad a job at Sunderland. The reserves were 5th when he was sacked.

And he did a better job than you suggest at Stoke. They were top of the bottom half when he left for Sunderland. Tony Pullis manage to pull a team from the brink of relegation that he had put there himself. Ofcourse, if Cotterill stayed put they wouldn't have been involved in a relegation battle. I'd imagine it was a bit of a kick in the teeth for Stoke.

He's a very ambitious manager and I challenge you to find me a quote where he preached loyalty. Infact, the Stoke board commented on his ambition to get to the top. They just didnt bank on him being so ambitious that he'd be Howard's number 2. What he did was a disgrace though.
What DWilko said.

Just like to add though.

Steve Cotterill Dr Marten's to League 1, that says it all for me, he truley is a Premier League LLM. He is the Messiah.

Needless to say I'm also a Cheltenham Fan

Paul Sturrock

He took Plymouth Arygle from bottom half of league two and in consecutive season won promotion twice with plymouth. He also took Sheff Wed up last season.
