Peter Taylor? You're having a laugh! Good coach, but can't maange for toffee. Might do alright at Hull, but has got too much cash to spend there to be truly LLM. At Gillingham he inherited a good team from another manager, same at Brighton. Players he brings in are invariably poor.

Steve Cotteril has got a good pedigree in LLM - Cheltenham and then lifting Stoke from Div2.

Wycombe before that though, and a conference side to start with (or am I wrong?)... He made his way up, before making his way back down :/

Peter Taylor's (mis)management of Leicester wasn't quite an example for us all, either.

Tut, tut, language. You should look at the forum headers to see what is and what isn't acceptable

You can't say that you weren't warned...

And there's no need for the asterisk, you can say twit. Anyway it was a backhanded complement. You certainly chose to break the "rule" in style.

Correct - neither were at Wycombe. Taylor was once manager of Southend, not Dover.

Plus the fact that Crewe itself is a ****hole.

As for Steve Cotterill, yes, he did an excellent job with Cheltenham, taking them from the Dr Martens league to Division 2 in something like 6 seasons. However, he did NOT take Stoke from Division 2, he took over after they won promotion following the controversial sacking of Gudjon Thordarsson. After preaching loyalty and hard work after taking over, 2 wins and 14 games later he left for Sunderland and everyone knows what a big success the Wilkinson/Cotterill partnership was up there!
From the brief time he was at Stoke, he didn't make much of an impression, whilst Tony Pulis managed to pull round a side bottom of Division 1 with no confidence to beat the drop.
Obviously Cheltenham fans will remember Cotterill with fondness, but it seems at the moment that lower leagues is his level.

Whats non-LLm about that?

Oh and I wouldn't rip the pish out o' mkus cos he'll be a mod one day, he's already in training.
