Are you sure about that? In that case the wikipedia entry for the Conference is wrong. It states that only for the 2005/06 season 4 teams are promoted to the Conference National, after that it would go back to 3.

In that case, either Wikipedia or Football Manager 2006 are wrong. In my game, four get relegated and two come up from each of the Conference North & South.

My money is on FM being right.

Actually, looking at the second map on this page...

Conference Maps

...it's evident that Histon may well be relocated to Conference North, as well as Cambridge City, simply on the geography of teams promoted/relegated.

Finally, have checked a few places...

bbc.co.uk
confguide.com
tonykempster.btinternet.co.uk
fa.org
http://www.footballconference.co.uk

Not one of them has details of what is happening with promotion and relegation after this season. It could be that both wikipedia & FM are both speculating?

It wouldn't be the first falsehood I find in wikipedia.
