When he said he was promoted after a playoff victory over Histon, Hogie.

Champion At Last

ECN: P46 W22 D13 L11 Pts79
FA Cup: 5th Rd (Lost to Chelsea 1-2)
FA Trophy: Champion (4-2 Forest Green)

It was a pretty close season with the top 5 teams seperated by only 4 points. Had to tell you guys an incident which ****es me.

Was playing the final league game and was leading 3-0 at halftime only to lose 4-3. First goal was a penalty (yellow card), 2nd was a poor clearance, third another penalty (2nd yellow) and last was the result of having a man short for the last 20mins. All these goals resulted from 1 player. Could you imagine that!?

After that match, I said it loud to my monitor. 'You will never play for Frickley again!!. He was immediately released the next day with 1k compensation.

Some key points that happened at the end of the season was the club is now Pro with average facilities (was basic before) and of course a healthy balance of 4.5mil

But I have a sinking feeling that we are going straight down. Nobody wants to come to Westfield...

Updates soon!

A bit harsh on the poor fella. He'll forever remember that half as the 25 minutes that ruined his career

A bit harsh but it really riled me up since he is a 32 old man. If it's a youngster, then probably I would have given it a miss.

Histon was in Conference North in my game.

Yes, they are, at least starting from the 2006/07 season, which is when his match took place.

Actually, depends...

FM05 follows the first season of the two divisional Conference set up, where the Conference North playoff winners played off against the Conference South playoff winners for the third promotion spot to the Conference.

FM06 follows the new set up. Both champions are promoted as before, but so are both playoff winners. Two teams are relegated from the Conference in the first season to allow it to expand to 24 teams. Following that, the same playoff system is retained and four teams are to be relegated from the Conference from 2006/7 onwards.
