I had the same thing happen in my save. Had a star striker who scored for fun. Two L1 teams were after him and I put a huge tag just for kicks. When they accepted I jumped.

The next season...no goals...more losses...angry fans...and a fat bank balance that I can't spend because noone will sign with me and the board wont give me a youth academy.

That'll learn me!

I'm a bit in the same situation butler. Got a 1.5M offer for my 120K AML. Very tempting to jump, especially since he now demands a whopping 1.2K salary and his contract runs out in two years. But then I have poor cover on the left, and the guy is a freakin' star. Decisions, decisions...

I almost didn't do it because it questioned the realism. But ultimately it seemed that the likelihood of having a stud get snatched up for a large transfer wasn't outside the realm of possibility.

...and Pangaea...when you break the skin it's time to stop scratching. :eek:

It seems that I had forgotten to switch to GBP. I had euro and so the transfer was for 1.4M GBP.

Season 08/09

I finished 3rd and I am in the playoffs. I have reached the final which is against Accrington. This has been a strange season. I started badly with many injuries and had relegation form. Then my players started playing better and by January I was second, 6 points from the 1st, but after a loss in 3rd round FA cup I had a bad form and managed to finish 3 because of a good run at the last 4-5 games. Cups suck.

I can't wait to finish work so that I will try to get promoted although I have a feeling that I will get trashed.
