Season 2004/05 Part II

Well, our first season came to an end. Not that "glorious" end we've all waited for, but at least we've managed to meet the expectations.

The season wasn't easy. Somebody couldn't stand the high standarts of ECN and had to leave. Some had a tough time arguing with their manager (me, i mean), and also had to leave in one way or another. Anyways, we're through, and we're not relegated. That's the deal.

Something i didn't try in Teldord update, it's performance ratings. Here we go (1 to 10 as usual).
Goalies - 5. Never had any sign of consistency, which is way too bad for the last line.
Defenders - 3. Too many goals after stupid mistakes. It costed us at least a play-off spot.
Midfielders - 8. The only line that performed close to my expectations. Still too slow, but... well, they were mostly okay.
Attackers - 6. The fact that we've had one of the best result in scoring goals is good. Many stupid misses are bad. So, that's 6.

Financial result is a deep minus. During pre-season many players will leave, we have to build a new squad or the like. Right now it's late May.

So, a short summary:
English Conference North: 7th place, 2 pts from play-off spot
FA Cup: knocked out in the 1st Round
FA Trophy: exactly the same

More to follow.

Okay. As long as no-one seems to be interester, i guess i'll register a couple of bots and we'll start a sort of discussion in this topic

Was quite a pause, but we're back.

As suspected, we did had to rebuild a squad a little, though it was done with different success. Got us an experienced DMC which i intended to become a sort of inspirement for the youngsters. This 'inspirer' though managed to get 6 yellows and 1 red in 8 pre-season games and is already serving his suspension for being sent-off in Conf North. Quite a role-model he is...

Another decent signing was an MC who seemed to settle rather well. He even managed to get an international call up to NIR U21s, and it made him so happy he immediatly broke something and was out for a month. Lazy...

So, a brief intro to the 2005/06 season.

Board expectations: gain respectable league position
Supporters expectations: the same
Transfer budget of 5K pounds, and it's already half-gone.

Team rating (1 to 10, relative/absolute rating)
Goalkeepers: 3/1 - no real #1 goalie, can't get any sort of consistency
Defenders: 3/1 - young and stupid; mostly two are usefull
Midfielers: 8/2 - again - strongest part of the team, quality and quantity leaves enough space for maneuver
Attackers: 2/1 - no-one's technical, one is a sprinter

Progress
We've only played 4 games, so nothing to say yet, though our start is defenitly better than it was last year.

More to follow.

Ran into a bug that will be sorted out in 5.0.3 at best. Should restart the game then.

Ian, or whoever is here in authority. Close the topic. No more use of it.

Bugs suck major arse

If you spend too much time on your stidues, your studies will suffer.

I know. Not to mention, that me-self will suffer too . That's why i set foot in Altrincham.

Bah. We still have funny Brazilian hot-seat and Northern Ireland network saves to have some fun.

They're not so maniacal with 10 leagues at most

Ergh. I only hope it's not one of those dirty "do-not-say-it-in-school" words...

I'm so sad i can't even type correctly. Yup. That's a hell of explanation

Never heard the word stidues, thought it was some Russian thingie

The difficulty with GDP per capita growth in a lot of developing countries is that it is negative. This always causes a few problems.
