1. Not a uniquely LLM request but... would be great to have more man-management options with your players.
You can punish a player in various ways, but there's no equivalent rewards. How about...
You guarantee a player a first team place for X matchespossible negative impact on competing players?)
Or you give them a 1-on-1 meeting for a quick morale boost. Overuse this and your management skills fall
Better player feedback via the assman / coach report screens would be essential.
2. In LLM I spend most of my time trying to train up ****poor players into superstars. But the training feedback is terrible. Your coaches should be able to give you advice on most suitable training regimes for a player... according to their coaching skill.
It's really difficult to see how players' attributes change over time. How about "+/- change this week" and "+/- change this season" instead of those annoying green / red arrows.

I would love textual reports by the scouts and the stats not being revealed until the player has been scouted properly (5-10 times).
I would also love the player profiles to be textual rather than numeric when they're being scouted (but I supose that makes really no difference at the end, so perhaps wider range error while players are being scouted: stat= 8 but scout reports it 'not completely right' 5, 6, 7 , 8, 9 or even 10, depending on the matches he ahs played).
Physical stats would reveal first, technical after having watched that player in some matches. Basical mental after more matches. Some stats shouldn't appear at all until the player had joined your club.
I would like the scouts to 'miss' it big sometimes (and not because scouting is crap, but just because a player had a stormer or good streak and his judgement was poor).
I would love to be able to assign some guidelines on which scout does what (e.g. I might have a scout who is quite decent at pointing out actual talent and one who is decent at assessing brute diamonds. It would be good to have some options in the manager options, or wherever) to indicate which scout does which scouting (much like training assignements: U18, U23, all players)).
I would also love the scout next oposition to be more detailed and to give info I couldn't gather on a two minutes glance at their past match stats and seasonal stats (but I haven't used that one in FM, so it could have improved and I wouldn't know).
I'm sure there are more thinks I had thought about scouting, but I can't remember them right now.

It's too easy to get carried away with "wish lists" and threads like this eventually get quite silly.
In my opinion there's three, maybe four, areas that need improved to bring the LLM style of game to a more realistic level:
1) Scouting. This has been improved over the past game patches, but one thing I mentioned to the SI blokes in London was that it's far too easy for the Club to outstrip its AI perceived reputation. i.e. When the Board (AI) tell you to improve the squad in the Conference South and you manage to get promoted, the following season your rep's still in the CS, your scouts still recommend CS level players, and don't even look at players that will help you with your assault on the Conference National, never mind League 2. The level of scouting should reflect your current level and be aiming for at least one level higher.
2) Training. It sucks ass, means nothing, and anyone who says they've devised a great training schedule is pulling their own plonker as well as everyone else's. I believe training will be significantly improved in FM2006 (seamus?) so it remains to be seen by how much.
3) Contracts/Training. This refers to full time and part time players. One way round it could be for the contracts to actually impact on the potential end result of training, i.e full time players can be trained to 100%, whereas part-time may only be trained to 80%...and only by good coaches.
To me if these three items were improved it would make LLM much more interesting.
Finances and the like impact on the whole game so are less likely to be worked on solely for an LLM game.

| From what we've seen, it looks promising. |

A training system that is actually functional is some sort of meaningful and realistic way. And not this black magic get-all-the-bars-up-to-the-line pick-n-mix horse crap that we have at the minute.
Continue the improvement in scouting that was seen with 5.0.5.
Like UELLfan I would like the Fog Of War overhauled but that would be in the wishful thinking category.

* I want real time management. It's tied in with training a lot too.
You should have to set your schedule for the week depending on what's going on. You could pick a preset training regime based on how many matches you have and when, include days off, etc. Travel time should be included, too: if Torquay are playing Newcastle away in the cup, then they ain't going to be doing any training that Friday as they'll be on the bus. I could elaborate, but it would be a bit tippy, so I won't here.
It's a short gap from there to Part-Time IMO, since for Part-Time at it's most basic, Mon-Fri 9-5 is simply unavailable for training.
*Player interaction:
I've always hated only ever being able to warn or fine players. If a player is underperforming or somesuch, I want to call him into my office and have a chat, find out what's wrong, offer assistance or send him away with a flea in his ear. Likewise if he had a decent game I'd like to tell him so in private as well as (or in many cases instead of) in public, sort of "well done on Saturday, keep it up". And ofc, telling the unhappy player why he's not selected atm.
*Team talk: if it works the h-t teamtalk will fulfil one of my wishes. I hope we get a prematch one too soon - in order to go over the plan - are we going to go for the jugular early, keep it tight early doors and see what develops, or park the bus?

addendum - I consider these LLM issues because player interaction is the primary means of improving a team at lower level. I'm not about to go out and drop a fortune on new players, so I need to feel my day-to-day interaction with the players can foster some improvement.
I've not gone into scouting and training in depth because they've already been discussed.

firstly: what a lot of other poofs have said about scouting
Second: If you somehow, despite your managerial miscapabilities, manage to get a promotion or two it would be nice if the reputation of the club/manager atleast improves a bit allowing you to sign players that are almost capable of playing for that higher division.

Why so down on training. It might be coincidence but if my team are struggling with crosses and I add that to the schedule they get better at them in matches.
What I would like with traning are schedules depending on how many days there were between your matches, so you'd have one schedule for two days between matches (day 1, day 2, match day ), another for 3 etc.
