Have had youth academy now for two seasons, and still not ONE youth player has come through. I find this very weird. Have anybody else found this? Would be nice with at least one non-grey in the youth team...

yeh,Im at Yeading town and I find no youth come through. I do though have horrible facilities but i have got 5 or 6 grey players ,most have flopped,but a few a keeping there place in the side.

Under FM05, having a youth academy practically means you get no youth players anymore. If you improve them to that level though, injuries diminish. Decisions, decisions...

I didn't get any youth players with crap facilities either. Not a big problem except the homegrown crap, but would be nice to get something through.

Dont you have to wait 3 or 4 seasons before you start getting any decent regens?

I've just started my second season with Workington (basic facilities - no improvements) and we had 3 youths promoted from the 'academy'. Couldn't tell you if they're any good yet, though.

Could be, bit I've now started the 8th season with Stenhousemuir. In all those years I haven't gotten one player through. I figured as long as we had pooh facilities, nothing got through, bit with top facilities surely something would crop up.

I usually don't get a single player or very crap ones the first season with an Academy.

This being said, I never had the pleasure of having an academy in FM06, so I don't know if it sorts itself some seasons after as it did in previous iterations.

In my current save which started with Workington, I got a single ute every season for the five I was there. Then i moved to Aberdeen in the middle of my season 6, club has average facilities, and got, I think, ten utes at the start of the next 'season.'

I've seen a fair few come through the ranks at Elgin. Have even promoted a few to senior / reserve duty.
