I'm a long time forum visitor, and normally spend my time in GQ, but am getting a bit fed up of the sort of people in there, so starting looking elsewhere on the forum and came in here, and read a few things.
I might dig out my FM07 disc and start up a lower league game, see how I get on with some of these strict rules, I might get on with it, I might not.
If I do, I might post with a few updates, try and get some "pain in numbers" company so I don't feel quite as useless as my results might suggest!
I just wanted to clarify a few rules:
- If I wanted to write a story, but about my LLM game, would that be in the LLM forum, or the Story forum?
- How come some people are allowed to post in here and GQ (like Jimbokav1971 picking someone as random) whereas new users are picked on for doing it?
- If new people post in here about their game, but also post in GQ/Editors etc about another one of their games, they get shouted down in here? However, if the 2 separate games are about completely different leagues/countries, then nothing learnt in GQ/Editors could be used to benefit their LLM game, so why is it such a big deal? I only ask because I've previously been in those other forums, and wondered if I would be "allowed" to visit those in regards to my old saved games.
- Do I have to use Frank to select my team or would I be allowed to select my own? It seems a lot of people use "Frank" but I couldn't quite tell if it was compulsory.
- Once my lower league team enters the premiership, then is it still classed as Lower League management? Or would I need to resign and apply for a lower league team again?
- Is the FM WeeGie update allowed to be applied before starting or not? I like the thought of starting with the most up to date squads.
- If I wanted to write a story, but about my LLM game, would that be in the LLM forum, or the Story forum?
Answer's in the name. Stories go in the Story Forum
- How come some people are allowed to post in here and GQ (like Jimbokav1971 picking someone as random) whereas new users are picked on for doing it?
People aren't picked on in here. People try to justify and argue their position for using other fora and LLM...it can't and doesn't happen. Nothing wrong with GQ, though, with regards to playing LLM
- If new people post in here about their game, but also post in GQ/Editors etc about another one of their games, they get shouted down in here? NOT GQ, to reiterate. LLM and (Editors, T&TT and GPTG) are mutually exclusive. You can't do both. You use LLM, you don't use the other three
- Do I have to use Frank to select my team or would I be allowed to select my own? It seems a lot of people use "Frank" but I couldn't quite tell if it was compulsory.
No
- Once my lower league team enters the premiership, then is it still classed as Lower League management? Or would I need to resign and apply for a lower league team again?
You haven't read the Guidelines at all...have you?
- Is the FM WeeGie update allowed to be applied before starting or not? I like the thought of starting with the most up to date squads.
Nope...definitely haven't read the Guidelines or Rules.
I might keep my Arsenal game and post in GQ in regards to it, and start a lower league game with someone, havent decided yet. I might start in a weird country where I've never been before.

Nah, even Jimbo did Nor'n Iron, be original
Seriously Damian, read the headers, read some threads and then consider the word ethos, because it best describes what LLM is about.
