At the end of my first season as Norwich manager, I get offered the Man Utd job. Having about as much footballing loyalty as Didier Drogba, I'm basically biting off Man U's hand trying to accept.

Unfortunately, once accepted, as soon as I press continue, the game crashes and dumps me back to my desktop with an error message stating 'the program FM2008 has closed unexpectedly'. Needless to say, I'm not overly impressed...

Am running on Mac with OSX. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Up 'til this, never had any problem with it running anything - including previous incarnations of FM.

That said, FM is the only game I play on here. No idea how Mac stands up for other games.

did you put your mac to sleep while playng the gane?

i did it once with a macbook and it corrupted my save.

p.s. Maroon, check apple.com for specs, i bet the 2.8 ghz imac is way better than your current pc.

I have also experienced this error. Twice.

I am running FM on a Mac also, and everytime I apply for a new job and am offered that job, FM crashes and says 'Program quit unexpectedly'. It has happened twice, the two teams being Wolves and Preston NE.

Please fix in the next update. Thanks.

Yep, Happened to me also,

Just got an offer from At. Madrid, with an actual transfer sum,(lead sparta to win the dutch lead with no money in the pocket) accepted the job offer --> pressed continue game crashes, and yeah I-m using a mac too. it's without a doubt a mac thing, hopefully SI will fix this for the patch update
