Why? Becouse of the realism I think. Im not enyoing my game if there are in clubs like Lyon, Porto...6 real plyers. I hope it makes it all clear.

Does database size effect the game’s computing speed, or is that only dependent on number of leagues running?

Database size definitely makes loading and saving the game take longer, right?

It means exactly what is says. Of course you can disregard it, but the game will then run slower than "intended". </BLOCKQUOTE>

Recomended setup never worked, at least for me. Both for number of leagues and the selection of leagues. Never got them right.

And, does it actually change if you upgrade your machine or are they simply presets?

If you can't run 4 leagues on a medium dbase with that computer, something else must be wrong, or your patience is incredibly low.
I only have 512M, and 4 leagues with a large database just flies.

So just how slow is "unbelievably slow"? An occasional 10-20 seconds of processing time is quite normal. If we're talking minutes, with so few leagues, then something must be wrong.

Yeah, it depends on what you are used to.

I played 07 with 1.8ghz and 256 mg of ram, lpaying 6 leauges. would read while it processed. upgraded to 375 mg of ram and was in seventh heaven.

Have just upgraded to 1 gig now, and seems ok on 7 leagues with small database. does seem a bit slower after the patch though.

Recommended setup is not for the selection of leagues, only the number.

I play some 25 leagues and load the players from 68 nations with a large database (not that that matters when I load all the players from 68 nations..) Processing is a bit slow, but it's worth it.

Also remember to adjust the detail level in the preference screen once you've started a game
Can you explain exactly what detail I would miss by using the adjust the detail level?

Then it's clearly not set up corectly as for sure there eare faster leagues and slower ones depending on the number of teams in it. A 20 teams league will be slower than a 12 league one.

The only way to see how fast it is is to try it. What's fats for you can be slow for me. It is a relative term which is more related to your patience than your computer specs.
