The problem is that out of the managentment game, FM is the one played by the perfectionists. People chose it because its more accurate, realistic.....

But that means these people are the people that get most annoyed when the games riddled with bugs (And lets be honest, this game has more bugs then an NHS hospital) and that is why theres such a strong backlash.

It doesnt help when they release patches that actually make it worse.

Thats true, the reason theres such a 'backlash' is that because FM has set the bar so high and like you say people expect more.

Compare this forum to the CM one, 150 people logged on here, 6 on the equivelant there. With such little activity on their board you wonder how their bugs will even get spotted...

The one thing that SI dont seem to have done as well this year is get the "game killing" bugs addressed in a patch out on the first few days.
Yes theres been some beta patches but we are still someway from being able to say its fully playable long term wise.

I absolutely adore this series, and thought FM07 was the best ever - after the patch.

At the moment I cant play FM08 as there are so many bugs it ruins the experience. It's only realistic in the eyes of those who are winning, cos that's all they care about. They pick the best the team and go all out attack and clock up stupid scorelines, then they think they are the best manager in the world.

For anyone who actually wants to play a "realistic sports simulation", FM08 is a pile of crap.

haha. your funny. the game is playable full stop. i'm enjoying it without any crashes or problems that stop the game from progressing and i know that i'm going to get a good 50,60,70 + hours of enjoyment out of it.

far more than any other game. any game that gets realesed annually is going to have more problems than a game that has no specific time scale for release.
