I sick of people overexagerating on these forums, of course the game is playable, sure there are a couple of small bugs here and there, but they will fixed.
However i dont think the moaning will end, how you feel if SI said 'we dont need this constant criticism' and pulled out the market, what would you do, play FIFA manager?

Agree with the posters who are supporting SI and saying its impossible to publish a game without bugs.
BUT...... imo SI need to make sure that the initial release never has major issues with the match engine on day one, as imo if this area doesnt have any glaring holes then other bugs tend to be forgiven.
Not that Im not delighted with the match engine (especially after the latest beta), but to me its the focal point of the game and the moment that brings everything you do together, so imo SI should ensure this area doesnt have any major issues above all.

| Thats true, FM08 isnt as good a release as FM07 and it probably puts peope off.
However CM isnt any better and will still require a patch, for example playing the demo the very first thing I noticed was 150throw ins per game.
My point is that yes FM needs a patch but anyone who goes and plays CM because of that is jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Every version brings its own negativity and that doesnt subside until the patches.
FM07 was actually pretty well received and certainly the best one I remember.
It still had faults and its share of critics though.

it all depends on what thinking hat one has on:
pragmatist: FM is still the best football mgmt. sim, so i take it for what it is
perfectionist: each bug bothers to no end
dreamer: sees the potential for development that FM has, given its current base
critic: well, critical of various aspects of the game !
in the end, the most enjoyable hat to put on for me is the dreamer's. FM is a good game now, but with some improvement, it could be out of the world.
steady improvements in the match engine and greater interactivity within the game (with players, board, media, staff) are the two areas that i'd fancy improvements in.

FM may always be released with bugs, but the bugs I've seen in FM releases have never been on the scale of what I've witnessed in EA management games in the past.

Their alternative is to wait until everything is ironed out.
1. we don't want that as we want the product ASAP
2. they don't want that. The longer we wait for FM the more likely we are to buy pap like CM or LMA
Even with all the bugs I bet everyone is still enjoying it, you just imagine "what if..." and wait for the final patch to be released
