Well Canbary, Im sure the testing process has so many pit falls, but that is not my concern. I bought a game, which has errors that can affect my game play, so in answer to your question, why should i have to wait till .
Any to say there is no problem playing with the highest clubs, well i want more of a challenge than that, so do i have to wait to able to challenge myself ?

| Guys, whilst its natural to feel frustrated by the fact that the original release was buggy and we're all now waiting an indefinite period for the patch, I think its clear that SI would be happy to provide us with an idea of when we could expect the patch if they had an idea themselves. But the truth is they don't and it consequently if they were to give us an estimated release date it would be more of a guess - which could end up annoying people if it proved to be off the mark.
They're not punishing us, just trying to get it right.

I'll explain again, there is no way to give progress reports.
Many different people work on many different aspects at one time, periodically all or part of their work is compiled to create a test patch.
This is tested and the process repeated, eventually a build will be arrived at which satisfies everybody enough to be released but there is now way to predict when that will be.
It could be today, it could be next week,.
The only certainty is that it will be a soon as possible.
You don't get quantifiable progress, you get in progress, complete.
There is not status in between those two.

Neil, I know they are working on it, as they have been for a while, and nor do i want a promise because of the obvious problems that will create...
However, a little customer service, a polite reminder from SI "Hi guys, sorry for the delay, but we are trying are best to make sure this is the best it can be, hopefully have some more news in a couple of days"
Instead we get..
As you know - we're working on it - simple as that.
Well im sorry, but im a little ticked off..

| I'd just like to quote this post.
It's already been said that it will hopefully be done in the next week. What more do you want. You say you'd be satisfied just to have a rough idea. Well one's been given so why are threads like this still appearing?

im concerned about a tester telling us that he doesnt know anything, instead of testing the new patch
there is something fundementally wrong with that.

| I do understand your frustration, heck I'm going through much of the same myself...
But I don't think you want SI to release a patch that only causes more problems? How would that be for customer service? not good at all to be honest.
If you think about it you'd rather wait the time it takes to get the bugs ironed out than to get a new patch that is so filled with odd bugs, and proabably much of the same bugs, released today. Am I right?
They screwed up with the original realease, ok. But atleast give them the chance to fix their mistake? Releasing a half-arsed patch will do no good, and if you think about it for a second you'd realise that.
That being said, I'm also impatient but as long as it's released before christmas I can have no complaints.

First post, first time Ive felt compleed to reply to a thread on here.
It stikes me there are a lot of people who will not tollerate a bad word said against SI on here. Now, we all respect the job they do on the FM series Im sure, I certainly do haveing recently returned to the Genre with FM07 which I loved. The previous managment sim I bought was CM99/00.
BUT - everyday Im coming on here and looking to see if the patch has been released. I find it totally unacceptable there is no word on it when SI have sold me a product which at the moment I feel I cannot use because of bugs.
I also find the notion that these sort of threads will rush SI into releasing an unfinished patch ludicrous. Anyone should be able to realise these threads stem from the lack of information being provided, not primarily through impatience over a patch.
I for one would very much appreciate the people at SI giving some sort of information on the patch, so I can make an informed decision on wether ot not Im going to take FM08 back and recover the good honest cash I spent on it, or wait for a fix to be released.
Those who shout people asking for the patch info down saying they are whingers need to look at their understanding of what would be sensible for SI to do.
It costs nothing for SI to tell their loyal and hardworking customers whats going on, thats all thats being asked.
