Look mate. If you want a definite answer, you won't get it. But I can pretty much tell you that if you return on christmas eve it'll be done. Consider it a christmas present from SI.
If you don't the time to loggin, then here's a suggestion. wait 2 weeks. then log back in. If nothing is new wait two more weeks. That is if you don't have the time.

We know you working on it, but a simple update would not do any harm, I like many are logging in every day to see if its ready yet, I understand that you dont want to rush it and that you want it to be right, but us guys have spend money on something that is unfished and would just like some insight into what is happening.

Is it just me, or should we expect a little more detail given that the patch is only required because the game is so in need of it..

To simply say we are working on it, seems a little vague, and considering we are paying customers, should we expect a little more

Then play? What's stopping you? there's no problem playing as the highest clubs in the world, cause they can handle the match-engine bugs without much trouble. It's annoying at times sure, but it's not "unplayable"

On the developers part, they have no idea when they are done. Honestly, they could consider themselves done, but then discover another major bug. This is why they can't say for certain if it's done this week, next week or in six weeks for that sake. They don't know. Bugs can easily appear after one bug is fixed, and they need iron that out as well. No point in releasing a patch that fixes some bugs but adds a bunch more.
So to conclude, they probably have some idea when they are done, but they aint going to get our hopes up in case new bugs appear. It's not just check game, read response, fix bug, done. it's more check game, read response, fix bug, check game, fix new bug, check game, refix previous bug etc etc etc. Lots can go wrong in the patch creation process. Give them the time they need. They are dedicated developers wanting to give us the best patch they can make. And posts like these only keep pressure on them and could force them to release the patch way way way too early. Causing more people to be upset and a lot more work for SI to get it all fixed by the next patch or the next game.

If you still can't accept this. Come back at christmas it will be done then. Ok?

What do you want them to say? They are working on it simple as that. If they make promises to you and can't deliver you would all scream blue murder. It will be ready when its ready
