Hi Chaps, firstly Happy New Year to you all.

I've not really played CM since the days of 97/98, CM3, 01/02 so quite a few years ago so Im a bit behind the times. Decided to get my son on board this Christmas with FM2008 and he has taken the challenge up of being the new England manager. Problem is when he's selecting his squad (totally rebuilding it) and wants to check out how each England national is doing through player search, views, stats it is only bringing up their international ratings and not their domestic ratings (to see how well their doing) On the older games, you used to be able to see their domestic ratings in order to make your selection.

Ive also tried doing it through the National Pool as well but again only International stats appear.

Ive also created another manager to manage domestically and it works fine, you can view both international and domestic stats.

Is this a bug that someone else has come across or am I just being stupid here?

Nope it's not you being stupid.

It's ludicrous that you can't get current form/ave/goals/assists for your players without looking through the leagues and trying to guess who's of that nationality.

Trying to now tell a 9 year old he has go into every single player one by one to see his rating is a challenge itself. Its going to take him forever before each game.

Didnt I read somewhere that the International Management had been revamped on FM2008?!?!
If so, SI should take a leaf from the older games when being able to make team selections as this was perfect.

We've just got someone whose still playing FM07 to load up and test it and you can SEE the stats from each players domestic season which makes me think this is some kind of bug/glitch that SI havent picked up on yet? Although I find it hard to believe a 9 year old has discovered this!

I think, however, that this highlights something about how difficult it must be to test a game of this depth: this shows little things can easily be overlooked!
