1.Creating 30 chances most games (many more than my opponents) and still struggling to beat them.
2.The amount of penalties awarded against me-way too many for my 'normal' tacking defenders. I once had 10 in 10 against me.
3.Unbelievable comebacks by rubbish teams
I've been 1-4 up with 30 mins to go and lost 6-4, to a team i was all over like a rash. Do the pc teams have an magic formation they can change to ?
Anyway..... RANT OVER....just needed to get it off my chest...please dont flame me and tell me im just a rubbish manager with bad tactics... ive read enough posts on this site to know that there are def issues with the game engine

Hi man, I tell you what fecks me off. Your star striker breaks away into the box, with an opponents defender on him, but not within touching distance. As my star striker takes his shot, it go's gracefully through the air and glides into the opponents goalkeepers arms (and this is a great finisher with good composure almost always.

Ok, I play football myself irl, and understand that sometimes you can fluff a shot into the keepers arms, but ffs my strikers seem to do this a heck of a lot.

Before I get the tactics 'cookie cutters' on my case, I don't recall putting a tick in the 'flight 1 on 1 chances into the keepers grateful arms'

I dont know if its your star strikes who sucks 1on1's or AI goalkeepers turns godly--or both.

I beat Man United easy 3-1 but Derby/Reading is a pain.

And those stupidly easy chances your strikers miss-you know the ones... stk shoots, gk saves, but the stk pounces on the rebound...must be a goal ??
Its an empty net, but the stk somehow manages to shoot the ball at about 89degrees from vertical and it goes wide. UNBELIEVABLE !!

um, did you see the liverpool v. man city game this week? dozens of chances and no goals.

O yes, I know the ones, the one when the striker is 2 yards out, the goalkeeper is out of the game because he has just pulled off a fantastic save to keep out a goalbound effort, so you smile as your striker waltzes through to tap in the loose ball. Low and behold the tea lady in the canteen loses a WHOLE TRAY of half time tea because your striker can 'bend it like Beckham' and hit the canteen near the corner flag (even though he is 2 yards out)

I love the FM franchise, but the 08 match engine is p1ss poor, lets face it.

*cue* &lt;fanboy riots&gt;

Your example is just one game, but when that happens most every game, you just begin to wonder whats going on.

To be fair liverpool didnt actually get many decent attempts on goal despite their total domination. Also Man City have an extremely solid defence and a decent young keeper who is regarded as englands possible future keeper.
