Have a look at all of my results so far. The season hasn't even begun yet and I can't even beat my reserves or my 18's. All teams except for Fisher are in a league bellow, thus being lower class. Obviously not. I'm going to be sacked before the season has begun!!

2 things, first don't read into friendly results, quite often things change once the season starts

secondly, try playing a few less friendlies, that's an horrendous amount of pre season games :o

Yeah. All of my players were in horrendous fitness when I signed up for Sheffield. Some of them aren't even fit after playing all of those games.

You have only played a few friendlies. I went through over half a season and managed only 2 draws before getting the boot. Just 2 points in 24 league games and 10 behind the second bottom club. I persivered with the game (got every game of it since 1993 with the Amiga) Tried Oxford in the Conference (sorry Blue square premier) and odds on fav to win the league. Well I struggled right from the start, so I spend a couple of hours just studying the players and then set up a their playing tactics. Got the scouts to check a load of players on a free. Got some good players in the January window and from 14th place managed to finish 5th and win the Setanta cup. I have never done this well for years. And I got through the playoffs. Finished 19th in div 2 in my second season. and 4th in my 3rd season but lost in the playoffs. I am in my 4th season and 6-4 fave to win but started struggling again down in 10th. Got to get the team working together again. If I can do it anybody can. FM is such a great game. My reserve team is 5 points clear so maybe I should let the Assistant pick the main team. (:

Im not surprised some of your players are unfit. It seems like u have overloaded them with games. 11 games in less than a month is a bit much and ur players will all be knackered from it. Go easier on the amount of friendlies that u play in a short space of time and u might see better results.

Why don't you swap your reserves/U18's for your current team?

Don't worry. It always happens - as Halifax I regularly get stuffed in the friendlies and then lo and behold they step their game up when the league fixtures arrive. First two games of this season - 5-1 win at home and then a 7-0 away win at Ebbsfleet. Just grit your teeth and bear the friendlies...

It was 3 years before I won my first friendly, even though I was getting promoted and then holding my own in the premier league in my country.
