Off topic, but why are Sheffield in the BSN in the first season on your game?

I've just completed my first season with Boston Utd in the BSN and they were not in the league.

Am I missing something?

I have to agree with ncfcgee....you have played too many friendlies. I find 4 friendlies is more than enough. And it just isn't the fitness side of it....morale will be crushed after all those defeats. You need a couple of wins in pre-season to keep morale and confidence high for the start of the season. You will learn and get better. Good luck!

i wouldn't give my liverpool team that many friendlies.
and that'st taking into account their superior fitness and the fact that i'd have alot of players that would need match fitness.

lower league players will have poorer fitness and you wont have as big a squad to give all of them games.
my conference players always struggle to end a game with any more than 65% fitness.

A very important attribute I look for when scouting players for my LLM games is Natural Fitness and Stamina.

If you have a quick look through the opposing teams at this level, not many of their players have high attributes in this respect.

A proven way to succeed at this level, is to get players who are physically "stronger" than your opponents in LLM games.

i'd blame poor management

you're running your players into the ground, and you're mad cuz they lose... 4-6 friendlies are plenty.

after that, friendlies don't mean much.... wait for real matches.

When you moved Sheffield using the editor, did you change anything else?

All of those teams would have come from a league above the one Sheffield were originally in, so they should be beating you.

At a guess, your reserve and youth teams will be made up of grey players who are of a standard of the league you are playing in, which might actually be better than the Sheffield players since they came from a lower league.

Ahhh, the editor. That explains it. I should have realised.

But back on topic: as everyone has been saying, it seems as thought you're playing far too many friendlies and this will have a negative impact on your players' fitness, meaning they're more prone to poor performances.

Try reducing the number of friendly matches you play, and see if that doesn't improve things.
