Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem or my board have completely gone insane!

I am Man City the board want me to qualify for Europe via eufa cup. Halfway through the season I am 3rd having beat Liverpool and Chelsea away and in the semi finals of the League Cup.

I clicked on Confidence to see the board are disappointed with my management of the club, they feel I should be doing better in the league as i am on course for a mid table finish....

I am 3rd having played most of my harder matches away to chelsea, arsenal, liverpool etc. I just can't explain it!

There is a Football Manager 2008 Bugs Forum where it would be more appropriate to post a topic about a potential issue with the game.

It would be useful to know if you are playing with a fully patched (8.01) version of the game.

Are they happy with your signings? Are they happy with your cup performances?Are they happy with your control of finances?

Check through all your confidence and have a look if you have any which have little in the bar.

Had a similar thing with my vauxhall team, the board wanted me to avoid relegation, i was 6th and they "wanted me to perform slightly better" - utterly stupid. They were deeply upset when i lost 4-0 to everton in a friendly and yet pleased when i lost 1-0 at home to southport....
Possibly one of the most poorly finished new feature i've ever seen. I brilliant concept, but if the only thing they do for FM09 is fix this then i will be delighted.

But as leroy said, better posted in the bugs forum, although i strongly suspect they'll already know about this one.

I have already posted in the bugs forum regarding problems with the confidence system and uploaded a save game.
