The board will decide when you can host it. You have no say in the matter. It's just up to you to make sure that everything goes to plan.

If you are getting very low crowds your board can decide to host a "fan day". On fan days season ticket holders can bring a friend to the game for half ticket price or something like that. Its a way to boost attendance.

Obviously with varying degrees of success. I have had 3 in my 4 seasons up to now and 2 have been a great success, whilst the other wasn't due to a heavy defeat for my team.

They are completly random though, thought that the manager would have some part to play in it though.

No. You can't.

The board host them and tell you when they will be, along with what type of fan day.

This will result in a higher attendance and, if the fans get entertained (eg. 4-0 triumph) then they will come more often and you will get a higher average attendance along with higher profits from ticket prices etc.
