got hired by Berlusconi to save AC Milan from relegation in 2013, they were in 17th, beat juve in the first game and won every game but 1 since then, then draw with Arsenal 1-1 at the emirates in only my 10th game in charge and i am sacked!! no explanation either. i think it might be a bit too easy to get sacked!
I think this maybe a reputation problem. Even though you got them up the table, the position was probably still poor for AC Milan. So the reputation may not have updated correctly. Still crazy that you got sacked!
I am in the beginning of my 3rd season with Man Utd. I just got an offer to be manager for Greece and I accepted. They are currently 3rd in Group 3 with 4 qualifying matches left. Bulgaria is leading with 14 pts and me and Spain have 10 each. The goal: To easily qualify from the group. Admitted, I have 4 quite easy games, but if Spain is level at points with me, there is no way I can make is as the previous manager lost one and drew one against Spain.
If the AI of national board could look at the scores before seeting up their goals for me

this is unreal ! it happened to me too...the same situation...resigned from tottenham (league champions) at the begining of the season because my board sold a player...waited until matchday 22,got an offer from Birmingham who were 17 and also fighting against relegation...Not only did I save them but I got them in the FA Cup semi-final against Man United after a 0-0 in the first game...I lost about 2 league matches,i was 15 but sitting preety with 4 games left...then after losing those 2 games I got sacked inexplicably!!!
Luckly for me they got hammerd by United in the second leag 4-0 and they lost all of their matches,relegating
Hey, unfortunately don't have a screenshot, I reloaded the game (had saved just before the Arsenal game) got the same result and wasn't sacked. I think it definitely has something to do with reputation - I have got them back up to 5th (god, riijkard did a really poor job here!) and he is finally "satisfied". It seemed like it hadn't registered that I had taken over, didn't give me a "clean slate". it may not be particularly ethical but I feel I am hardly cheating by reloading!
got the man city job in season 4, played that then into season 5. Aim was challenge the top teams, it says the didnt and refused to renew my contract, this despite losing the title by a goal in the last minute to arsenal, gutting times but hey i go on with it
I've just give up with my game, i lost te liverpool job cos they wouldn't renew my contratcso in the 3rd season i got the city job where it said i was expected to challenge for the title. 1st season i finished 4th and got in the champions league, 2nd season i finished runner up in the league and won the champs league, and they didn't renew my contract. not happy.
