Just a few 2008 ideas for the semi-pro techies to consider to enhance this great game. Some no doubt will be impossible or considered stupid or irrelevant, but I thought I'd list them anyway. By the way, I am not lazy - just have a very limited ability in this field. My own agenda for 2008 is to figure out how to make a skin, which is no small task when you consider I have difficulty getting a ready-made & downloaded one to work!

Anyway, some posible improvements for your consideration:

1. Offside - probably difficult to get the linesman to wave a flag, but could his icon flash red or something similar to indicate offside? I hate it when I eventually score a goal and then find out its disallowed. I'm sure many players hold the opposite view!

2. Referee's decisions - would be nice if as manager I disagreed with a decision and could voice my opinion from the dug-out literally. This would involve additional sounds, but not sure if they could be co-ordinated. Would be nice if I could press a F key to shout abuse.

3. Club Logos - To add a little life to the game, could club logos be made to slowly spin in a 360 degree loop?

4. Managers Interaction - Could this area be adjusted to 'not effect players' so that more real verbal battles could take place as happens irl at many games, especially derby matches. My players would be unaware if I was having a verbal exchange with say, Sir Alex - they would be too involved in the game.

5. Similar to 4. After receiving abuse from opposing manager prior to match, I have to respond politely to keep my players happy. After the game, particularly if I won, it would be nice (no great) to to give that cocky manager a real negative mouthful (again without effecting my players.)

If I think of any other virtually impossible ideas I will let you know. In the meantime I'd be interested in other members pet hates and any ideas to add to this game rather than waiting for FM09!

Cheers, I never realised that. Which means it would not be difficult to turn them bright red!

when playing 2 leg matches...the option to say to the team (at half time) "it's important not to concede!"...when leading or draw 0-0.

Its some the opposing managers that I find can be rude - and I can't that bugs me. Would be nice to say what you wanted without effecting players.

I think you would have to wait for FM 09 for a lot of those ideas as SI would have to program the game.

I'm really looking for ideas that can be implemented without waiting for FM09. What about my spining Chelsea logo? I bet there is a techie member that could do that in 5 minutes!
