Can I add a photo of myself as the manager in the game? I create a game and then how do I add a picture for my alter ego?

If you use the wizard whilst setting up a new manager it asks you to select your image.

I never knew that!! I've always had to do it the long way (create a config file with the new ID). Might have to start using the wizard in future!

But can it still be done on an ongoing game?? Or just when you create the manager??

Well, the wizard will only work when you create the manager. To add it to an ongoing game, you will need to create a config file for your picture. Just note your ID number, create a config file to your picture and it'll work. :thup:

1. Get a photo of yourself, cropped to 95x95 and saved in PNG format (you can edit a normal digital camera or webcam photo in MS Paint).

2. Put the file in with the regen photos:
(CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\graphics\pictures\players\normal\regens)

3. Edit the regen CONFIG.XML file, adding the following line to the bottom of the list:
"<record from="PHOTO FILENAME GOES HERE" to="graphics/pictures/person/YOUR NAME DD-M/portrait"/>"

Example (assuming your name is Fred Bloggs, your birthdate is 19 May, and your file is fredbloggs.png):
"<record from="fredbloggs" to="graphics/pictures/person/fred bloggs 19-5/portrait"/>

4. Run FM 2007 and either load a saved game or start a new game. Once loaded, open "Preferences" from the "Options" menu.

5. Under "Display & Sound" untick "Use Skin Cache" and tick "Always Reload Skin On Confirm".

6. Confirm your new preferences. The photo should now be loaded.

idunno how you gys cropped the pixels to 95 x 95 ican only get the file to 83 x 95 it says 95 x 95 when im on paintshop but when i go to the regan files it changes again
could somebody help me..

or if i could email someone and they could resize my pic ive been here for 3 hours trying now

sorry for being a ****** but it driving me nuts

all this for a photo haha!!
