OK, since moderators have closed my topic Re: Sound pack 2007???? I will answer here about your request of making sp for Celtic. Just find me sounds of chanting Celtic fans and I"ll do it.

well first you'd need to have the recordings of the sounds that you want. i think the problem with replacing existing sounds with team/player specific ones is that if you decide to start the game using a different team & havn't replaced the custom sounds with the default ones you'll get those custom player & team chants for your new team. meaning you'd have celtic chants playing regardless of what your new team is. Personally i don't care about that, i only ever tgo my own team so my custom sounds would be fine but yeah i think you've got the right idea it's as simple as replacing the default .wav files with your own (make sure you label them exactly the same as the original...it also seems logical to me that the have roughly the same duration although someone said they don't have to be, i guess that's right if you don't care how long it lasts, even if the chant for a red card rolls over the ref's whistle for a penalty & the resulting cheers for the goal scored"?"). i'm certain this works but there seems to be some other people who edit the config files for events & use their own sounds for specific events...yellow cards, Booing, etc personally i don't know how to edit those files (looks complicated) and don't really see the reasoning behind doing so if you can just replace the .wav file with your own. Any corrections on my idea(s) are welcome.

having wanted to do it myself for some time it's a real pain when you find there are no recordings of Celtic park available. i guess it may be possible to take recordings from TV, official DVDs & such....you know, i think i'll do that! if anyone else could do the same (i'm looking at you Celtic2006) it'd be a help but i'll give it a try all the same. i'll try it now hopefully i'll be back on soon & let you know how it went.

what software do you use for fade in & out _PAL_? any recommended free software?

just making some recordings now. Only have the one game to make it from at the moment tho'. i started looking at one of the official DVDs but there's commentary all through the games. i recorded this game myself on a camcorder, i'm hoping it's gonna be good quality cos it was a really exciting game....towards the end...which was exactly the time the stewards told me to turn it off. B*******S! hopefully i got some good sounds tho'. forget which game it was....some small foreign team who trounced us the first leg of Chamions League Qualifiers(?) this was the second leg, think we had to score 5 goals...we scored 5 & hit the post, shots blocked, all that in the last few minutes.

I am using GoldWave sound editor, but they are many softwares wich are great too.

Here is one sound of chanting for AC Milan, so you can judge on your own for quality;

But some of them I downloaded from YouTube, they are not great but you can reduce hiss, hums, etc.
