Is there any point in playing wingers in 07? Im slowly coming to this conclusion for a couple of reasons:
1) Strikers even on low CF dominate the wings, meaning they occupy space my wingers should be in, relegating the wingers to feeding the strikers down the channels.
2) They are easily maked out of the game the same way we do it to the AI and rarely seem to be able to beat a man a get a cross in.
Ive got 4 World Class wingers yet even though they have a minimum of 17 pace, 18 crossing and dribbling plus matching mental,technical and physical stats I find that they are often bystanders.
IMO the key is the strikers dominating the areas that I want them to be in, the closest Ive found to a solution is to start them in the AMR/AML positions but still the strikers occupy their space and I depend on my MCs and other winger to get on the end of crosses- which obviously leaves a lot of space behind them.
Any success stories- especially with regards stopping strikers from constantly drifting wide.
