I don't know if its just my tactics, but I've NEVER experienced troubles with 4-2-4.

think of a 424 as a 442 with farrows on the wingers. they just never track back coz they're desperate and try to attack nonstop.

:thup: At least one person agrees with me. I've always maintained the only unrealistic thing about it is that they bring on FCs to play FL and FR if they've got any subs left. Uncool...

When it's match like that, it's like trying to put a sports bet on WWF match... :p If AI decides it's your time to lose, it goes thru all it has.

i must agree with the MAJORITY here!

the 4-2-4 is an abomination! totally ruins the game imo. the success rate is unbelievable whether its a league 2 team against your top 6 side in the cup or a team on a 'not won in 12' streak! you know that that streak is about to come to an end when they come to play you! it seems inevitable!

ive heard people come on saying its not a problem to their tactics but yet they never seem to want to prove it, except for 1 or 2 who have and within a couple of posts someones tried it and posted back that it didnt work?!

i'm sure people do have the answer though (it must be possible) even if it is unwittingly! being that everyones answer is different! you may have the answer but do you know what it is???

its just UNREAL no-end!

P.S. for everyone else not blessed with the answer try just simply changing your team tackling to hard when they make the change to the 4-2-4!

Works every time, take off the fwd runs of your wide midfielders as well, counter attack and direct passing focused down the wings = no fear of 424

I am now halfway of season with Chelsea, playing attacking 4-5-1 and have *never* encountered AI 4-2-4. Not once, be it league or cup.

I have been playing same tactic with screenshots in my previous post, players do vary due to injuries but tactics don't, home or away. Not single game with AI 4-2-4. When I play Liverpool with 4-4-2, I get lot of AI 4-2-4. Others having similar experiences ?
