Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Numerical slider reference query

Hey, FM07 and overall FM relative noob question here. I've seen people here assigning numerical values to slider activity and I don't get it. I think I have a general idea how the sliders work, but I don't get where the numerical values come into play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? Searches have turned up nothing. An example of what I'm referring to would be when someone suggests "set the DL to 2 and the creative freedom to 18" or some such. Forgive me if I'm either not being clear or my question is simply daft in the extreme.

On some of the sliders in the team/player instructions - there are 20 different positions you can set some in (such as creativity, mentality etc). The numbers refer to how far they are from the left, furthest left=1, furthest right=20. There just isnt a number on them, but the different notches relate to numerical values. Using your example, a DL with a creative freedom of 18, would have his creative freedom slider 2 notches back from furthest right (which is 20).

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the reply and yes it does make sense. I suspected that was the case, just wasn't sure how exactly people could suss out, say, an 18 from a 16 on a 20 position slider. In my limited experience with WWSM07, I've simply been dragging the sliders and wasn't sure how one could pinpoint an exact notch. I assume you can just click on the left or right button on the slider to get it where you need it to be. Thanks for the tip.
