Playing someone off the forward

How do you setup someone playing off the front man?

Im trying to make rooney play there but when i put him in AMC he plays a 6 and when i put him in FC with a Barrow he just seems to play the same way as the other forward.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

please someone help me i have rooney and torres up front and i want rooney to play off torres. Would it be best to set it up like

O - torres
O - rooney

or

Torres - O O - Rooney

with a back arrow on rooney

put them both as FC's and set rooney on a free role, it will make him drifft around the pitch more, also set his fwd runs lower, hope that helps
