Im sorry but I was hoping this version would be an improvement on FM2007 but its still the same ***** all over again.

When are SI going to start making the game fun again instead of once again having to spend hour upon hour to work out stupif fkin tactics unless you get lucky first time.

the whole point of football manager and SI's ethos has been and always will be ..realism..

thats what they are trying to do...

a 'football simulator' .. simulates real life football.....

therefore... your arguement that the tactics side of the game is too hard for you is ridiculous...

what you want is to have generic tactics which will work...

and id suggest that you and several others who have trouble with this game to go and play fifa manager or the like as football manager is quite clearly too taxing for you..

this isnt a rant at you personally.. just at the type of mentality towards the game... does my nut in frankly... and the swearing is indicitive of that mentality tbh

It's people like you welshace why we are waiting yet again for another patch to fix the erros in the game.

Until we start to complain and force SI to release a game without flaws instead of kissing their ass all the time. We allow this situation to arise without complaint.

We buy the game every 12 months but have to wait for 4 months until it actually works. Are we really stupid enough to deem this acceptable

Sorry but i cannot understand where the game is going wrong post patch....i agree that there are a couple of bugs related to other parts of the game, such as the registration bug though i have not experienced it, but i dont think that is related to the tactics that the OP has complained about...

As for the original poster, what do u want to do???the main work/fun in football manager is the tactics...what else do u want to do???

Personally I think SI have taken this game as far as it can possibly go with their current staff. Unfortunitly they have zero competition and thus we are stuck with FM. It's crap, but better than nothing.

its ignorant people like some of the people on here that annoy the hell out of me...

you get a brilliant game that is far far better than anything else on the market... not only that but you have a games company which not only listens to its customers suggestions but also provides more support through its patches and updates then any other company...

it annoys me because people on here dont realise that they are spoilt in all honesty... no other game or game developer comes close to SI as far as customer service and support goes..

and as for 'kissing ass' and 'forcing SI to realease a game without flaws' ...

im not kissing their ass, simply stating the facts... as a software engineer i can appreciate the work that goes into the game and the work that goes on after release as far as patches and de-bugging goes.. si release the game to us, knowing they can rely on us , the customers to let them know how it can be improved and what we want in the game...

yes there are bugs on release, they get fixed soon after.... much sooner then most games

get over it and play something else then

I'm 100% with welshace on this one, it's a simulation, expect it to be difficult.

Oh, and find me a game in modern times that didn't need an update, all games do, it's part and parcel of the process.

I think SI are getting fed up to.

If I was SI and becoming more "corporate minded", I would personally close the forums and do what other companies do - Have a generic Q&A post on the main website, then just have downloads and patches via fan and affiliate sites.

They don't need the abuse. I would'nt take it, why should they? I just wish people would calm down and post clearly, constructively and politely. If you're polite and objective, you're far more likely to get responses from SI and other forum users.
