It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

They don't need the abuse. I would'nt take it, why should they? I just wish people would calm down and post clearly, constructively and politely. If you're polite and objective, you're far more likely to get responses from SI and other forum users.
Close the forums you say??
How the hell will SI find all the bugs?
How the hell will SI "generate" new ideas?

It's the feedback from these forums that actually keep them going...

You're right Paul. If you don't want to spend loads of time fiddling with tactics and paying attention to detail this game is crap. I'm in complete agreement with you.

Unfortunately it does. And that's why I and all the other people who love this game love it so much. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I don't see why we should have to complain about the game to get it changed when we like it as it is. Sorry.

We buy the game every 12 months but have to wait for 4 months until it actually works. Are we really stupid enough to deem this acceptable
Well, clearly you are. If you don't find it acceptable, don't buy it. Why is this so difficult to understand?

This game has a lot of flaws. But it's still very, very good. If you don't like it, however, then nobody is forcing you to play the game.

This is the way the series is evolving. If you don't like the way it's going, vote with your wallet, I say.

The smallest of things? What you mean like the whole game bein totally unenjoyable? I'd say thats a pretty big thing myself.

Maybe alot of people do enjoy this game, the ones that have hour upon hour to mess about and tweak and tweak and tweak and tweak until they stumble upon something that works. But for the more casual gamer like me its just becoming abit tedious the unnecessary over-complicated tactic system this game currently has which means there are probably a hundred different ways your tactic might not be working and trying to pin point this is very difficult watching key highlights.

Watch some full matches some people will say? Ah well again I play on a network game and I don't think the other players would be particularly pleased with me spending donkeys watching full matches.

I was hoping this version would be less micro-management than the last one and the tactics abit more realistic and easier to manage... It seems not, which is why I think I will for the first time since the very first version give this game a miss.

It's a hardcore simulation and as i've said elsewhere, real managers spend their lives micro managing their team affairs, personally i would say that makes this a great game.

If you want something less time consuming and less of a management simulation then there really are plenty of other choices, it's as simple as that really.

I was hoping this version would be less micro-management than the last one surely thats counter-productive? the whole point is to expand the game) and the tactics abit more realistic (again with the 'realistic' arguement.. i dont get how people can say that dumbing down the tactics on the game, which basically means everyone using a 442 blah blah.. makes the game more realistic..)and easier to manage... It seems not, which is why I think I will for the first time since the very first version give this game a miss. ( wow.. another 'cant win so im gonna throw the game away player gone... kinda like adding chlorine to the gene pool of fm players... good for SI)

I have so many games where im dominating the game and I take the lead.. then suddenly the opposition have 1 chance and score etc. Its like as though you have to constantly keep changing your tactics during games to succeed which is totally ridiculous.

Now listen carefully anyone here who thinks they know abit about football. IRL managers DO NOT have this much control of there team once a match has started.. Yer sure they can change the shape about abit at times etc thats fine. But they cant 'tweak' the mentality slghtly etc once the match has started.

Im all for more indepth tactics but the current system is just unrealistic and too much micro-management which again is unrealistic.

It just seems you have to constantly change according to what the opposition are doing, this is a nonsense I mean why is it not the other way around? exactly. This is how ridiculous it is that if you score, the opposition go more attacking and they normally score unless you change your tactcs to be more defensive. Its a total nonsense it really is.

so u think the managers of the game ( and speaking as a sunday pub team manager.. if that counts for anything :s) that they dont ask certain players to puch up more or get tighter marking to a player ... or play wider? or ask the defence to play as a unit?

of course they do...

Yes BEFORE A GAME. PLEASE IF ITS NOT TOO MUCH TROUBLE ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT IM SAYING IF ITS NOT TOO DIFFICULT.

I said DURING GAMES its difficult for managers to change alot once a game has started.
