I'm Stoke City, and have reached the Premiership with a long hard battle. I have told the board I will reach the middle of the league table by the end of the season so I have 17 million to spend. I tried to contract Henri Saivet to be my second striker but even after offering him a £30k a week contract he still wont budge from his £50 a week contract with his current team.

So can anyone recommend and new players to strengthen my team, I know I need a new striker to replace Cresswell. I also need a new assistant manager, so who is the best assistant mananger?

Anyway my team currently is:

Playing 4-4-2

Strikers: Richard Cresswell - Mika Aaritalo
Midfielders: Patrik Lomski - Dominic Matteo - Rory Delap - Pablo Piatti
Defenders: Carl Dickinson - Clint Hill - Rafael - Gabriel Zakuani
Goal Keeper: Jukka Lehtovaara

I also have Jack Hobbs as a defender.

I've already tried to get Owen, however I cannot offer him a contract, it seems Tottenham has already purchased him from Newcastle last season.
