White Ox is infamous around these parts
Default Omens

Do any of you guys respond to omens? I just did. Ealier on today my wife and I were discussing which university I'd like to do my postgrad studies at. Two that immediately came to mind were Cambridge University and MIT. MIT is in Cambridge, Massachusetts. So I told the missue to pencil in Cambridge. UK or USA, don't matter right now.

Now in my FM game I've been having a season with Stafford. At the halfway mark of the season the league record is P21 W17 D2 L2 GD+34, 13 points clear of second. It doesn't matter what I do tactically, the teams just keeps doing really well, even with an injury crisis. Can anyone spell b-o-r-i-n-g?

So I'm thinking, do I start again and choose a more challenging side, or just keep going? Now remember how I told my missus to pencil in Cambridge? Well who comes knocking, offering me a job? You guessed it. Coincidence? Nay, 'tis an omen. It must be acted upon. Bottom of the Nationwide, bleeding financially, huge wage bill. Me suspects that fate is at work here.

What say you fellas? Any other omen takers among you?

I liked to movie too. Wasn't there a priest in it, played by Patrick Troughton, the 2nd Doctor Who? If memory serves, there was a Doctor Who episode once with Cambridge University in it. It must be an omen.

I just took a job at a recently relegated club, now at the bottom of the table and with a financial crisis. So how bright can I be?
