With the introduction of half- and fulltime team talks there are more chances to live out your manager persona than before. I now tend to be a real softie when it comes to team management, because I've had players turn against me in the past, which has really p*ssed me off. I encourage and sympathize more than I blast and ridicule, however I'm not shy to use the Media to force a player to prove himself. Also, I rarely attack other managers unless they have a go at me first, but I love to play mindgames before crucial games.
So what's your managing style? Are you a Wenger or a Clough? Are you true to your real life nature, or do you adapt some new personality for the game? Does it stay the same every for every save or do you try out new approaches? Discuss.

I basically do what you do. Only "hairdry" them when they play really crappy. Rarely criticize in the media, but praise if people play over the top for a good while. Tired of the mindgames, I only respond to stuff when asked nowadays. But if I beat a rival team I may badmouth them a bit.

I fine, critisize and lambast at every chance. A couple of bad games on the trot means the player will be warned/fined depending on how crap he was, and that he'll also read his name in the papers. If they won't perform, I won't pay them, is my motto.
I'm a bit more relaxed during games. I try to encourage and sympathise, but I won't hesitate to use the hairdryer at the end of a match if they fail to react accordingly to my suggestions at half time. Cue fines and/or warnings, heavy critique etc after the match.

I'm a player's manager. Just like in real life. I feel that players will play harder for you if they both like and respect you.
I rarely have players ask to be moved. The ones who do ask are normally those players who I know I won't hold onto anyway, as someone will eventually come poach them.
But when players cross the line, they know it, and I rarely have players complain about being disciplined.

That's me through and through. There is invariably a lot of turnover early in a game/club, but when you find players who respond well......

Mind you, none of my players seem to have any serious ambition (I don't mean as a reference to the attribute), they're just a bunch of part-timers on crap money out to enjoy themselves so I feel my style is also in keeping with the LL world.

Nice and protective to my players, but when I find one that underperforms and doesn't play as he should I tend to use 'special' encouragement methods with him.
Discipline is also highly regarded in my team, so if anyone breaks team ambience he better be ready to apologize or I'll release the hounds on him
