I'm a Magath type of manager, I guess. A player can be a world class flair dribbling artist but if he is a diva otherwise, he'll be the first one ouf of the club.
Nevertheless, I don't criticize the players in the media often. Things like that are dealt with "internally" (off to the bench you go), and I don't go and insult other managers.

I am a media friendly manager, I like to pass comment on the previous and next games. I also like to build up a few friendships.
I never criticise a player in the media and I try to encourage, sympathise and praise where necessary. Occasionally, when wound up, I get angry with the team.
So that would make me a Sven or an Arsene, probably.

I'd say im a player's boss. I always defend my players in the media, and will never openly criticise them. However im no stranger to a harsh word if someone isn't pulling their weight.
I'll never fine a player for poor performance or getting sent off, only if they miss training.
I'm media friendly, but will only criticise other managers if they have a pop at me first.

I'm media friendly, but will
| I praised too much, last season & the players think I'm just being nice for the sake of it & they don't pay any attention to me anymore. |

I manage like I parent.
If they're good I praise them, if they're bad they'd better run for cover...but they're mine, and woe betide anyone who criticises them
I never become involved in mind games, I always answer the Press, but I never, ever, bad mouth my players to the Media.
If they sign for me they become part of my family

| Likewise, and if anybody disrupts the harmony in my squad then they better start looking for a new club.
